Every server you run the collector on: hardware and OS, utilization over time, running services and listening ports, processes, packages, containers, databases, storage layout, TLS certificates, and the real network connections between servers. From that, 2Clicks builds the dependency topology, groups servers into application clusters, detects database engines and HA setups, right-sizes each workload from observed utilization, gives every workload a 7R strategy, sequences migration waves, and models the full cost picture.

It's a single read-only binary for Linux and Windows that runs once, with a hard five-minute timeout, and writes JSON snapshot files to a folder you choose. It installs nothing, runs no persistent agent, opens no listening ports, and doesn't need root: without root you only lose firewall and access-rights detail, and any gaps are disclosed in the output.
It gathers hardware and OS inventory, utilization samples, services and listening ports, real TCP connections, processes, installed packages, containers, database engines with version and edition (no database login), TLS certificate metadata, storage layout, and scheduled jobs. It never reads file contents (the file inventory is paths only), it never touches credential files or SSH private keys, and environment variables are only captured if you explicitly opt in, with secret-shaped values filtered out at read time.
No. It writes snapshot files locally, and you review and upload them yourself over HTTPS. The collector makes no automatic connection to 2Clicks; its only outbound calls are the optional ones you configure to your own monitoring systems, like Prometheus, to enrich utilization data.
One host with SSH access can scan the whole fleet, with nothing installed on the targets. Your keys stay on that machine: the collector uses your key file or ssh-agent for the handshake only, never stores or uploads them, and password-on-the-command-line auth is deliberately not supported. A strict mode rejects unknown host keys, and accepted keys are logged for audit.
Every release ships with SHA-256 checksums signed by a cloud KMS key that never leaves the KMS. The setup page gives you copy-paste commands to verify the signature with cosign or plain openssl before anything runs, and the check fails closed. Releases also pass a vulnerability scan gate and ship with a software bill of materials.
Configuration drift (sometimes called snowflakes) happens when infrastructure is created or modified manually, resulting in environments that can't be reliably reproduced. When stack management arrives, 2Clicks will detect and eliminate drift by templatizing your infrastructure.
